There’s no easy way to say it – our planet is in trouble. Sea levels are rising, the Arctic is melting, coral reefs are dying, oceans are acidifying and forests are burning.
Our news channels are seemingly full at the moment with a constant influx of chaotic events caused by climate change. It can be overwhelming, at a time when we desperately need some good news…
We at Wooshii would like to bring some optimism.
Our team has partnered with Word Forest to do something to combat the climate crisis. Their brilliant team work tirelessly and with heroic enthusiasm to plant trees which negate carbon emissions, restore biodiversity, provide food and shelter to impoverished communities and teach permaculture in order to ensure sustainable living.
The world may be turning upside down (or quite literally burning and flooding) but when passionate minds collide, a real impact can be made.
To make strides (literally), Wooshii are fundraising while ‘virtually walking to Kenya’. So far we have walked 9 million steps out of our goal of 14 million, and our donation will create a ‘Wooshii Forest’ where trees will be planted later this year in sustainable and restorative tropical conditions.
We’d love to give a special thank you to Tracey West (CEO) and Simon West (Chair of Trustees) at Word Forest – we can’t wait to see where this takes us and all the potential we can unlock! Next stop, Kenya!
Get in your good deed of the day by donating via our fundraising page here. Just £10 will plant four trees capable of extracting 1 tonne of C02.
