Background / Overview:
WTFast (What The Fast) is the leading software acceleration for online video gaming and supports sixteen of the biggest massively multiplayer online (MMO) games available today. For a small subscription fee, WTFast increases the speed of your online game connection by up-to 70% which means that you’ll never get caught out by a slow connection, i.e. ‘lag’, again.
WTFast requires a short 15 to 30 second video that promotes the consumer benefit of their service to both investors and consumers. The video will be used in pitches to generate further investment to grow the business and will also be featured throughout marketing communications to consumers directly.
What is the objective, the purpose of the trailer?
The objective of the trailer is to quickly educate and inspire viewers about WTFast. By the end of the video, the audience should understand what the consumer benefit is and want to know more or sign-up at www.wtfast.com.
These are the elements to communicate:
- WTFast eliminates ‘lag’ and gives users a dramatic competitive advantage against other online players because of the fast online connection.
- Users who don’t use WTFast are frustrated by their slow connection as it increases their chance of being killed ‘unfairly’ rather than being less skilled gamers.

● The Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) video game market is a thriving industry with some 460 million consumers accounting for annual revenue of $3.9 billion globally and the market is set to grow.
● Unlike the general videogame industry, MMOs for the most part are exclusive to the PC. For WTFast, the immediate market opportunity is related to the PC platform and not consoles such as PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
● The combined audience for MMO games in Brazil and Russia exceeds the US market.
● 34% of the current global audience are female – a unique statistic for video games outside of social games and a further opportunity for related companies.
● In the seven biggest markets (excluding Asia) users spend an average of 74.8 million hours playing MMOs every day.

Example Script (Reference Only)
The below is an example script for reference. While this can be used for production, there is no expectation to use the script verbatim. Pitches in response to the brief can diverge from the example below and will be evaluated on how closely they match the spirit of the brief overall.
- Gunfight between two guys (reference: modern military, characters).
- Use visual cues to differentiate ‘WTFast’ guy (e.g. Flaming aura, faster movement, really confident, god-like, etc.)
- Guy without WTFast is slow, scared.
- Quick fight, see the slow guy start to squeeze his trigger, the WTFast guy gets off three shots before the slow guy even shoots his gun once.
- WTFast guy sees the slow bullet coming and steps aside with a laughing mockingly, moving faster than opponent is able to see (reference: Matrix-style).
- Slow guy dies in a puddle of blood proclaiming "I hate lag!" with his dying breath.
- Slogan: "Be WTFast or Be Dead. Accelerate Your Game Now!"
