Can u create an animation for a biz in 15 secs?
OK, well this is a concept competition we are running. We want to produce a 15 second animation that will tell a story. The story is simple.
We are aiming to find the shortest animation to sell a business we can. So this is really a competition, but not so much for you but for the small businesses that will apply.
It must have humour or at least a clever twist. It must also show your true brilliance as an animator.
We are looking to offer this in two parts. Firstly the winning pitch will win the design of our own 15 sec animation. They will then be profiled on our new website, and then will win a second design for the winning startup.
So the animation, will have a script developed with you and us and eventually the winner.
Any questions? Please let me know

Comments and questions about this Project
It's any business? Are you asking us to just make up a business and animate it? What's the second prize involve, like another animation but then what's the winnings?
That last part, does that mean you're going to help us write a script?

Sorry no, we are looking to create an animation to launch our competition for startups. Our prize is to pay the creative who builds our animation a second project (with another payment and budget same or higher than ours) to build one for the winner.

Yes, we will provide a script for the animation for us. You will work directly with the other company to design theirs.

So what is the first one to be about? Just how to sell a business?

So our campaign is: How would you sell me your business service/product in just 15 secs

Im interested in this too, its a little hard to really come to grips with what your asking in your brief, altho i understand that you are after something you can use to market your own business in order to create more business for yourself, which will then also be done by the winner of this project, but what you want to actually have created seems to illude me. I think in order for this to really work, we need to know allot more about your business so it can be integrated into the pitch.
Also is this open to people world wide? Im in Australia.

Yes, this is true. We are showcasing in a way your skills and showing that you can say a lot in a little time. We have not yet developed a script but it would be nothing different than you have seen before. We actually would like to work with the creative to get the most out of the script and the animation.

This is not a well written brief. As comments indicate, it is almost impossible to figure out what you really want/need. Your responses seem to indicate we have to wait for some further script or info that is yet to be provided? I still can't figure it out. The thing about Wooshii is that brief-writers really should show a minimum of respect to the people who are being asked devote time, energy and talent toward their projects FOR FREE. My humble suggestion: Take the time to write up/think out the brief in full first. Post it when it is fully developed, not a half-baked enticement to who knows what.

Hello, you may find it helpful to ask Wooshii for their 'good brief' whitepaper, it'll make the brief clearer, which will attract more people as they'll understand if and how they can help you! There's a mountain of talent here, but people are a little wary of entering if the brief is too wide :-)
All the best,
All the best,

Thanks for your comments. To be honest I am a little amazed by your responses. We have a clear idea, we are looking for a creative to work with us to develop our concept, 'how can you sell a biz in 15 secs' - what is hard to understand about this? But to add to this we will offer the same service to a company we pick. The script is simple> can u sell a business concept 15 secs. We have just 15 secs to do so.....

I understand what you are saying, but other's don't because you haven't clearly explained:
1. What does your business do
2. What is your offering to your clients
3. The objectives of this production
4. How this production works/the concept
You want a 15 second advert making which is promoting a competition for your clients to enter, in which they could win free production of a 15 second advert by the same creative who made the first advert... Right?
The theme of the campaign is this whole 15-seconds thing. This initial production is to say 'wow, look how 15-seconds of cool-ass motion graphics/animation really caused some retinal afterburn... Wouldn't it be exciting for YOUR business to have something like that'.
.... I think.

I think Robert has hit the nail on the head.
It think this is a neat little project. (with a further project to boot)
Lets try and help Elumina get this made
@xeth etc - I have taken part of your conversation to the forum.. for continuation :)
In the mean time I will get some clarification from the client to be sure
In short you are pitching on producing the 15 sec animation for which a script wil be provided

wait how did a non animator win this pitch? unless he has animation talent that he's just not sharing with anyone

Thanks everyone for your pitches. We selected the one which we felt offered us the widest range and someone that was willing to work with us on this project. Thank you for your input and comments
