Anyone interested in partaking in this for a bit of fun
I was thinking of setting up a few internal contests where creatives can challenge each other to sort of head to head challenges. Here is the idea. Let me know if it sucks or if you reckon you would have a go...
1. Creatives get a set amount of time to produce say a 30 sec short 2. The theme is randomly generated 3. Once completed the creative score everyone else's work 4. Winners win prizes adulation etc
I thought it might be fun and keep those creative juices flowing. Or does it sound like too much hard work??
Got to say I'm loving the idea, nothing serious just good fun the best kind of contest :) and you could get some truly outrageous themes going to really get some creative ideas out.
This sounds like a lot of fun. I like this idea and I would definitely be a part of it. There seems to be a lot of people who will only do this sort of thing for large amounts of money though, that would be the only problem I could see. i am sure there are a lot of people who would want to.
I think that a panel of judges (in which the judges may be changed with each competition) is the best way. In my experience polls, votes and rankings are a good way of messing things up. There could also be some sort of community vote that could decide a runner-up, but this is just valid for other than head to head contests for obvious reasons.
what could be a god idea to help keep things simple is all the people who wants to be a part of it are picked at random to go head to head then pick 5-10 users at random to jugde, that way who evers not involved can get a chance to judge and would also be a good way to get more users talking and interating with one other.
how about this - i think it would be nice if you could have more than one person on the contest so
1. Contest set up 2. Any one can enter or invite other to partake (min 3) 3. 5 random wooshii users get to rank them 4. The participants rank their competitors blind
So there would be kind two winners (would be interesting to see which ones came out in agreement

1. one way would be to have the entry with the most votes
but that seems a little unfair
2. I guess the other would be to create some kind of blind voting where you just rank the entries
