Self-proclaimed “world leader in specialty glass and ceramics”, Corning, released a video on February that showed a glimpse of the future where their product – (glass for all sorts of things like LCD’s, architectural surfaces, etc) was essential. Which is smart, because they showed how relevant they were not only now, but in the years to come, in almost every step of a person’s daily life. And all that with eye-popping visuals and a vision of the future, something people love to see and share.

It was a great bet since the video has since been viewed 17.5 Million times. It was so successful that they now launched a sequel to that video: “Same Day. Expanded Corning Vision.”

A Day Made of Glass 2,” Corning’s expanded vision for the future of glass technologies. This video continues the story of how highly engineered glass, with companion technologies, will help shape our world.

It’s another great video, very well made like the first one, and already got 400.000 views in 3 days. It’s also one of the few videos being spread around this week that wasn’t on the Superbowl – which is a feat in and of itself!

Take a look:

Corning, by trying a different approach to their video – using the future instead of the present – made a great use of online video, and had some amazing results with it.
