If the September numbers weren’t big enough, the latest coming from a comScore report (for the US) just released this week set new records.

Here are some:

- 184 million U.S. Internet users watched online video in October

- with an average of 21.1 hours per viewer

- the total U.S. Internet audience viewd 42.6 billion video views (an all time high)

- 7.5 billion video ads were shown in October

- 3.2 billion minutes was the time spent viewing them that month.

- 53% of the U.S. population watched video ads in October, at an average of 47 times per month.

Google sites are yet again dominant, but Facebook reached the second place in video viewing (having fallen to 3rd in August and 5th even in September).

What does this all mean? Well the obvious for one, online video watching is growing every single month and more and more businesses are using it to reach their audience.
